Dear Church Family and Friends,

We are following the Governor’s directive to stay at home. We have been told the best way to prevent the spread of the virus is to suspend all public gatherings; so, we have suspended all church activities until it is deemed safe to resume them.

We make this decision out of love for our church family and community. Personally, this decision is important to me. As many of you know, I have just completed chemotherapy and that puts me at risk as are many in our congregation and community.

We are livestreaming our messages on YouTube Sundays at 10:00 AM. You can access the messages any time on our web site by clicking on the Social tab, which directs you to our Facebook page which has a link to our YouTube channel. Audio versions  of the sermon are continuing to be offered under the Media tab on the web site, which now also has a link to the sermon notes and a link to our YouTube channel videos. The church staff is checking in regularly and is available to help you with any concerns or questions that you may have.

Let’s be in prayer, for not only each other, but for the world during this time, that we all might know the hope that Jesus Christ brings.

Pastor Eric

Our worship services are at 9 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Children’s Sunday School and a nursery are offered during the 11 a.m. service. We will continue with this schedule when it is safe to do so.

Our Youth Group has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns. We will update this site when that changes.

We exist to reach people for Jesus and connect them to a relationship with Him.

Everyone is welcomed at FBC, there are no perfect people here.

We want to grow in our relationship with others and with Christ. We do this through worship, learning, small groups, and community.

We want to serve the community and love those around us.

Our Kitchen Table and Clothes Closet (described below) have been temporarily discontinued until further notice due to coronavirus concerns.

A free meal is offered every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (with the exception of the 3rd Thursday when it is hosted at The United Methodist Church of Anacortes).

The Clothes Closet is also open every Thursday
from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. except for the 3rd Thursday of the month. The Clothes Closet offers free clothing and some personal care items to those in need within our Anacortes Community.

During the year we offer 8 – 10 week studies for our Home Groups. A home fellowship is a small group that meets for Bible Study in the relaxed, casual atmosphere of a home. Fellowship and prayer are key ingredients and the small group atmosphere allows the studies to be interactive. Home fellowships are the fullest expression of fellowship, where you can grow in your relationship with God and others.
Sermon-based groups are on-going now with our new series called Jesus the Storyteller. Please contact the church office @ 360-293-5300 for more information if you are interested in getting involved.
